Guided Walks

** Please note that due to coronvirus restrictions, we are unable to open the Archive Centre or put on any of our walks or social activites at the moment

In 2016, the theme of our walk was "The Lost Pubs of Wickham Market".

In 2017, the theme was "Butcher, Bakers and Candlestick Makers - The Old Shops of Wickham Market".

In 2018, the theme was "More of the Old Shops of Wickham Market".

If anyone would like to get together with a group of between 6 and 12 people, we can arrange to put on any of our walks at a convenient date and time.

For 2019 and 2020 ** we now have a walk which combines all three of the above, in Wickham Market (in less detail) and we have produced a new walk on "Historic Easton".

The walks will take place on:

  • Monday 11th May 2020 - Wickham Market - from Wickham Market Village Hall
  • Thursday 21st May 2020 - Historic Easton - from Easton Village Hall
  • Other dates will be announced.

These walks will start at 2:00pm, from the respective Village Hall.

These can be booked by phoning 01728 746058.

Note that these are not for serious walkers!

They involve a gentle walk through the village, stopping at the many old places of interest in the villages, to hear information and see some old pictures from our archives.

They will be no more than 2 miles and take about 2 hours.

The Archive Centre has lots of historical information and photos of the villages over the years.

Anyone interested should phone 01728 746058 to make arrangements.

The cost will be £5 for adults and £2 for children (ages 7 to 17).

Booking for walks is required in advance, and payment will be collected on the day.
